Sex + Love + Porn
Reclaim your sexual wellness
Many people ask if sex, love or porn is actually an addiction. There is a lot of debate within the clinical and therapy arena on that terminology applied to sex, love and pornography. At Total Wellness 365, we don’t focus on terminology. Instead we focus on how it’s impacting your life and your relationships.
Focused treatment
Treatment is focused on recovery and the achievement of sexual health. Central to treatment is understanding your cycle of the behavior, including: the development, ritualization, acting out of the compulsive behavior, and shame/guilt inevitably followed by a build up of unmanageable thoughts and feelings.
Recovery is possible and predicated on the development of healthy sexual practices consistent with your personal values.
Assessments + Treatment Planning
During your initial sessions you’ll be asked to describe why you are seeking therapy. You’ll also be asked to participate in an assessment process that includes a comprehensive sexual history using assessment tools exclusive to CSAT trained therapist. Because you’ve decided that it’s time to stop hiding in the shadows of your behaviors or shame, completing these specialized assessments are essential. Your CSAT therapist will review the results and share with you at your next scheduled appointment. You can be sure that your therapist will be attentive to your confidentiality and comfort level as you progress through the assessment process.
Recommendations for individual therapy or the specific group (Recovery Zone) will be based upon the results of the assessments.
Find books and support groups for those in sex addiction/problematic sexual behaviors, their loved ones, and couples healing from betrayal trauma.
