Our Mission

Our mission was born from the burgeoning awareness of our founder that mental wellness must encompass physical wellness. The intricacies of our body systems that work together, respond, nurture, and protect itself is awe inspiring. But with those intricacies, comes frailty. If one system is traumatized or hurt it can weaken other systems. And ultimately our overall wellness.

The tenants of mental health treatment over the past decades has begun to adopt an integrative approach to therapeutic interventions. Yet so many clients lack the skill to help themselves, presumably out of lack of knowledge. It’s common for clients to be asked about sleep hygiene, water consumption, nutrition, and physical activity. All are very important, yet there is more to our mental and physical health that those four categories. Our founder experienced first hand the significant impact experiences in her life were having on her physical and mental health. So she took action.

She poured herself into learning all she could about integrative health, eventually becoming an integrative health coach. Now she advocates the same integrative health approaches with her family and friends, colleagues and clients, partners and community.

That’s why our mission at Total Wellness 365 is to help you foster the 4 pillars of wellness - physical + mental health, career + education, sexuality + relationships, and spirituality - through knowledge and skills.

For when you choose knowledge, you choose wellness.

More on the 4 pillars of wellness

Spirituality

This can be a practice of organized religion or faith. Or it can be meditation and mindfulness, participating in nature, artistic expressions, or play. Allowing yourselves to be free, open and absorb the various sources of energy is integral to your wellness.

Sexuality + Relationships

This includes every variation of relationship you can imagine; partner(s), children, neighbors, parents, etc. How you connect with others, set and honor boundaries, communicate, etc. influences your moods and happiness. Sexuality is a part of life. We don’t need to be ashamed, and often includes identity, intimacy or intimacy problems, alternative lifestyles, kink play, and more. However, when sexual behaviors evolve to the point of addiction or abuse, you can restore healthy sexuality.

Physical + mental health

General physical health is important to remain active in life. What is healthy can be self or medically determined. A decline in physical health , a lack of mobility, a loss of movement, affects a person’s zest for life. This change can have lasting affects on your mental health too. Mental health can be impacted from so many variables (e.g., grief, stress, trauma) and each reason is as important. Mental health matters and a change can show up in how you engage in your daily lives.

Career + Education

Since much of your time is spent in school or work it’s important to pay attention to levels of satisfaction, interest, stressors, and coping strategies. Although our team members are not specific career or school counselors, we can help you gain skills to navigate the changes, life transitions, or stressors happening in these areas of life.
