Therapy
Focused therapy as unique as you are
Therapy offers an environment that is a safe and welcoming space for you to find support, encouragement and skills to discover your best version of wellness. Maybe you’ve tried to talk to your family, friends or coworkers about your struggles and they don’t understand fully. Or you’re embarrassed about a part of your life and are looking for a judgment free place to share.
What should I expect as a client in therapy?
There are a number of steps that take place as you begin the individual therapy process. The first step is completing an assessment. Assessments help pinpoint symptoms (your reason for coming), guide the diagnosis (if required by insurance) and treatment planning process. Assessments also inform the decision-making collaboration and aid in tracking individual progress.
For more details, you can watch my video series on what to expect during the therapy process.

CREATING SPACE FOR THE INTERSECTION OF SEXUALITY + MENTAL HEALTH.
Sexuality is a part of all of us. But what is sexuality? Most people usually think sex when they hear the term sexuality. Yet sexuality is so much more than just the act of sex. Sexuality encompasses our attitudes about sex; our beliefs and feelings; gender identity; gender roles and expectations; sexual behaviors, alone or partnered; capacity for erotic response, sexual protestation, and attraction; and social and cultural implications of sex.
We get that being open about your sexuality isn’t always easy. Our trained therapist are committed to providing our clients and community access to expert driven information, professional resources, and a safe and inclusive space for client to explore the intersection of sexuality, relationships, and mental wellness.
Since sexuality is a big part of our life, we can all experience minor interruptions to our expression and interest. Often these changes or interruptions are due to everyday stressors or life transitions that can be resolved in time on their own. These are common and can be normal reactions to difficult times in our lives. You may be beginning to discuss alternative relationships, exploring new ways to play sexually, or having conflicts of libido with your partner. Get support from one of our therapist to help you feel like yourself again.
However, when intense anxiety builds, or feelings of sadness or anger, or interpersonal conflicts continues, it can have a bigger influence on our sexuality. When things are not going well, it can effect how you act, what you think and how you feel. All of which have significant effects on your total wellness.
Whether you are interested in individual, couples or group therapy, when you’re ready to make a change in your life, our skilled therapists are here to support you in as you explore the intersection of your sexuality, relationships, and mental wellness.

LEAN INTO WELLNESS + AWAY FROM DEPENDENCE
Finding it hard to cope with stressful events or situations without the aid of substances can lead down a path of physical, mental and sometimes legal consequences. It’s difficult to admit that you need help. Especially if you feel that others are not having the same difficulties from substance use as you are. Seeking therapy to address your substance use or abuse is nothing to be ashamed about. Asking for help is not a sign of weakness. To know you can’t do it alone and ask for help is a sure indication of the courage within you.
The proliferation of advertisements, legalization, and entertainment-based discussions of substance use or abuse can inaccurately normalize the crushing impact it can have on your life. According to recent data, over 20 million people were diagnosed with a substance use disorder in 2022. Sadly, only 10% of those individuals received treatment. You may have an increased need to acquire, use, or recover from substance use. The people who care about you are voicing concern. Difficulty completing daily tasks or focusing at work or school. These are some common signs that it’s time to take action.
Our trained therapist will use evidence based interventions to help you understand the root of your substance use, develop coping strategies to manage daily or difficult situations. Finally, you’ll create a plan that you can lean into as you step into sobriety, seeing the restoration of your 4 pillars of wellness!
I’M CONCERNED MY SUBSTANCE USE WILL BE SHARED WITH OTHERS, LIKE MY BOSS OR LOVED ONES
As with all counseling at Total Wellness 365, your information is kept confidential unless you have given express written consent to disclose the information. If you have a court or supervising authority mandate to participate in substance use treatment, some information disclosure may be required by those agencies.
Details you reveal within the counseling session are confidential in accordance with state mandated reporting laws and ethical standards. Other questions regarding confidentiality will be addressed during your initial session.

RECLAIM YOUR SEXUAL WELLNESS
Many people ask if sex, love or porn is actually an addiction. There is a lot of debate within the clinical and therapy arena on that terminology applied to sex, love and pornography. At Total Wellness 365, we don’t focus on terminology. Instead we focus on how it’s impacting your life and your relationships.
FOCUSED TREATMENT
Treatment is focused on recovery and the achievement of sexual health. Central to treatment is understanding your cycle of the behavior, including: the development, ritualization, acting out of the compulsive behavior, and shame/guilt inevitably followed by a build up of unmanageable thoughts and feelings.
Recovery is possible and predicated on the development of healthy sexual practices consistent with your personal values.
ASSESSMENTS + TREATMENT PLANNING
During your initial sessions you’ll be asked to describe why you are seeking therapy. You’ll also be asked to participate in an assessment process that includes a comprehensive sexual history using assessment tools exclusive to CSAT trained therapist. Because you’ve decided that it’s time to stop hiding in the shadows of your behaviors or shame, completing these specialized assessments are essential. Your CSAT therapist will review the results and share with you at your next scheduled appointment. You can be sure that your therapist will be attentive to your confidentiality and comfort level as you progress through the assessment process.
Recommendations for individual therapy or the specific group (Recovery Zone) will be based upon the results of the assessments.
Find books and support groups for those in sex addiction/problematic sexual behaviors, their loved ones, and couples healing from betrayal trauma.

REIGNITE YOUR HEALTH WITH AN INTEGRATIVE APPROACH TO DAILY LIVING
Health and wellness is so much more than finding a diet and exercise routine. As a part of Total Wellness 365 we believe in helping clients find their own version of wellness. Through collaboration, you will develop an individualized plan that incorporates the 4 pillars of wellness.
WHAT IS HEALTH COACHING?
Health Coaching is a way for individuals in general good health to take their health one step further. Part of Health Coaching is to get to know you and your health journey thus far. You’ll share specifics about your successes, barriers, support, and goals related to fitness, nutrition, mental health, and lifestyle factors.
Health Coaching is not forcing you into a strict dietary regimen, suggesting fad diets, or suggesting unsafe practices like stopping medications without your doctors approval. A Health Coach is not a medical doctor and should not be providing medical suggestions.
WHAT CAN A HEALTH COACH DO FOR ME?
The role of a Health Coach is to provide support, encourage, guidance and suggestions in order for you to enjoy a fulfilling and healthy life! A Health Coach will use their knowledge about superfoods, vitamins, best practices in nutrition and sustainability to promote choices to build a sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
IS HEALTH + WELLNESS A PART OF EVERYTHING YOU DO?
There is a growing body of research that informs us about the impact that our physical health has on our mental health. We know, for example, that how we sleep, what we eat, how active we are, etc. is tied to our physical health. Now there is evidence that proves the impact our physical health has on our mental health. Our founder is an Integrative Health Coach which allows each team member to integrate this knowledge into every facet of the therapy process.
Whether you are participating in individual therapy or a part of a group, you will be invited to discuss how your physical wellness is influencing your mental wellness. Another option is to participate in formal health coaching to compliment or amplify your current lifestyle and mental wellness.
