About Carl Lathon
After a long career with the DuPont Company after serving as a US Navy Surface Warfare Officer, Carl felt called to serve others, specifically their mental and emotional health needs, as aClinical Mental Health Counselor. Carl is passionate about social justice and wants to “walk the talk”. He feels a responsibility to help ensure others have a fair and equal opportunity to maximize their individual capabilities, to deal with the challenges they face and to overcome the obstacles that stand in their way. Doing this helps to build a more welcoming community and environment for each of us.
He has coaching and counseling experience working with those ages 13 and up. His background includes individual and group counseling, focusing primarily on the individual and their specific needs. While respecting others in a caring, empathetic, non-judgmental environment, Carl looks forward to working with his clients using a person-centered approach to help them identify and develop their inner self, achieve the goals they set, and handle the challenges they face.
Carl has been married for 13 years. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing golf, biking, walking, working out and enjoys reading about a variety of subjects. He has a passion for exploration and has traveled extensively.
